Jedi Gem Speedwell (Veronica)
'Jedi Gem' is a striking sport of 'Purple Leia' with light pink flowers that bring a touch of elegance to any garden. This perennial is taller than it is wide, featuring long-blooming flower spikes that are self-cleaning, as spent flowers fall to the ground. Ideal for adding vertical interest and near continuous color to your landscape. Dark green foliage exhibits exceptional mildew resistance.
Veronica (Speedwell) comes in a wide variety of heights for you to choose from—but they are all easy and undemanding to grow. These perennials prefer full sun and average, well–drained soil. Veronica plants are deer resistant, drought tolerant and attract hummingbirds and butterflies.
This is a relatively low maintenance plant, and should only be pruned after flowering to avoid removing any of the current season's flowers. It is a good choice for attracting butterflies to your yard, but is not particularly attractive to deer who tend to leave it alone in favor of tastier treats. It has no significant negative characteristics.
